The Colorado Chess Column focuses on stories about Colorado players, local events and tournament results, local chess stories, and general chess instruction. 

 

Here are some of the more memorable columns…. The Colorado Chess Column was published in the Spotlight Section of the Rocky Mountain News ran on the first Monday of every month.
The chess column ran continuously from September of 1993 until the newspapers closing in February of 2009. During this time frame, “The Rocky” had the 11th largest circulation of any newspaper in the country.
