Chess Knight with the Denver Nuggets was a popular chess lecture given by Todd before the Denver Nugget’s game.  All the kids would get a square of the chess board as they entered the event. After the chess talk, Todd would do the Knight’s Tour Blindfolded, stopping periodically and give out prizes from the gift store to the kid who had a particular square. The final square was the grand prize and was signed memorabilia by one of the Avalanche’s players.

Special Guests who also spoke and marked the board for the Knight’s Tour included:

2008 Denver Broncos All-Pro Linebacker, Ian Gold

2012 CU and NFL Center, Jay Leeuwenburg

The 2008 Denver Nuggets Family Chess Knight set an attendance record at the Pepsi Center as the largest ticked event ever held to date that was not the main sporting event!
